Countryside Montessori Preschool is a non-sectarian, educational preschool, serving families with children two and a half to six years old.  It is operated as an independent school run by an Executive Committee and Parent Advisory Board.  The school functions as a collaborative effort among its educators, the attending students and their families.

CMP is located on a one-acre lot on the northeast side of Madison,Wisconsin at 721 Northport Drive.  In addition to three multi-age classrooms, the outdoors are filled with playgrounds, various gardens, and Madison’s only walking rock labyrinth.  This unique environment creates a true child-friendly atmosphere.

The curriculum at Countryside is based on the Montessori Philosophy, founded by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900’s in Italy and Western Europe.  Montessori is a highly successful method of education which helps develop a young child’s mind, habits, academic learning, and confidence, providing the basis for a lifetime of success.
